Ben works to empower Wisconsin libraries of all types to best serve their communities. He joined the Department of Public Instruction in 2015 and previously served as the director of two small, public libraries in Wisconsin and Iowa. He lives in Sauk Prairie with his wife, two kids, two cats, and Goldendoodle.
